1. Chip and some components, if using inferior or renovated one, will be very hard for customers to tell as long as there is no certain ability to identify. This is a pure profit chain and the possible embodiment of it is that nowadays some dealers on the chip market can carry on the renovation to the old chip, marking again, and so on. In addition, illegal deal of capacitance and resistance still exists, which causes a huge price gap between the products of the legal one or illegal one. Even  connectors almost looks the same have more than one yuan money gap in price, including the BNC port.

2. Using refurbished and inferior optical module, one of the most expensive component in optical converters, generally take up of about 40 to 50 percent of the cost of the optical converter. The initial so-called surge protection device is in fact an antistatic tube that combine TVS tubes onto some interfaces of the optical converter. Through my observation, I came to know that  inferior converters are made of inferior optical module, produced by small sized workshops, people can not tell from the appearance and the general optical power meter can not measure it also.
