What is fibre Optics?
It's the transmission of digitized messages or information by light pulses along hair-thin glass fibres.
Each fibre is surrounded by a cladding having a high index of refractions so that the light is internally reflected and travels the length of the fibre without escaping.
To protect the glass fibre, a coating is applied over the glass by the manufacturer.
